Indian cars are becoming safer, earning five stars at Bharat NCAP tests and now Indian-made EVs are securing high safety standards. The latest to ace the test is the Mahindra XEV 9e, the carmaker’s latest offering in the segment. The Mahindra XEV 9e not only scored five stars, but secured the maximum points Bharat NCAP has to offer. Here are more details.
Mahindra XEV 9e — What makes it so safe?
For starters, the XEV 9e is built from the ground up as an EV, on Mahindra’s INGLO platform, which houses the battery pack on the floor. They offer a better centre of gravity, making the electric SUV handle better, and the overall design offers a protective cocoon for the passengers.
The Mahindra XEV 9e scored a full 32/32 points for adult safety and 45/49 for child safety. Features such as ADAS Level 2, 360-degree camera, multiple airbags, electronic parking brake, a tyre pressure monitoring system, cornering lamps, and more add to the safety of the vehicle.
