Toyota has launched a new top-spec trim of the non-hybrid version of Innova Hycross. Named GX(O), bookings for this top-spec trim started around three weeks ago at a token amount of Rs 50,000. Prior to this introduction, the non-hybrid Innova Hycross was earlier offered in G(FL) and GX trims.
The Japanese carmaker is offering the Innova Hycross GX(O) trim in both 8 and 7-seater options priced at Rs 20.99 lakh and Rs 21.13 lakh (both ex-showroom), respectively. Besides a more premium cabin, the new GX(O) trim comes with value added services over the other non-hybrid variants of Innova Hycross.
Toyota Innova Hycross GX(O) features
In comparison to the existing GX variant, the new GX (O) additionally offers bits like front LED fog lamps and rear window demister on the outside. It offers creature comforts like automatic climate control with an auto blower for the rear seat, auto-fold ORVMs and a height-adjustable driver seat. The new GX(O) variant comes with dual-tone fabric upholstery and soft-touch material for the dashboard.

Additionally, the 7-seater option with second-row captain seats gets a bigger 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment display, and retractable sun shades for the rear windows. Other novelties include wireless Apple CarPlay, electronic parking brake with Auto-hold, and 360-degree camera. Safety package on the GX (O) trim includes six airbags, a wide rear-view parking camera, and front and rear parking sensors.
Toyota is offering the GX(O) trim in seven colours – Blackish Ageha Glass Flake, Platinum White Pearl, Attitude Black Mica, Sparkling Black Pearl Crystal Shine, Silver Metallic, Super White and Avant Garde Bronze Metallic.

The new GX (O) trim is complemented by an array of value-added services such as five years of complimentary Road-Side Assistance, standard warranty of three years or 1,00,000 kilometres, and personalised extended warranty program, along with Certified Exchange program.

Toyota Innova Hycross powertrain
Powering the new Innova Hycross GX (O) variant will be a 2.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol motor delivering a peak output of 173 bhp and 209 Nm of peak torque. It comes paired with a CVT automatic transmission as standard. On the other hand, the strong hybrid variants are powered by a 2.0-litre petrol-hybrid engine producing 182 bhp. Here the motor is paired with an eCVT automatic transmission which also acts as a starter generator.
