The year 2025 will be a pivotal one for electric vehicles, with a major focus on how the market will evolve in India. The Bharat Mobility Expo 2025 will showcase the launch and unveiling of several exciting new electric vehicles. From Maruti Suzuki to Vayve Mobility, here are the top five electric vehicles that could drive the growth of this segment in India.
1. Hyundai Creta Electric
Before the official launch, Hyundai revealed many details of the Creta Electric. The EV SUV will offer two battery options, a 42 kWh and a 51.4 kWh. Based on the ARAI rating, the 42 kWh returns a range of 390 km and 473 km from the 51.4 kWh trim.

Hyundai has revealed that the Creta Electric charges from 10 per cent to 80 per cent in 58 minutes with a DC fast charger. With an 11 kW AC home charger, the battery can be fully charged from 10 per cent in 4 hours.
2. Maruti Suzuki e Vitara
Suzuki unveiled its first electric vehicle in Milan last November. The e Vitara will make its India debut at the Bharat Mobility Expo and will be available in two battery options — a 49 kWh and a 61 kWh. The entry-level churns out 142 bhp while the 61 kWh is available in two versions — two-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive. The former makes 172 bhp and the latter 181 bhp. The e Vitara will be Maruti Suzuki’s flagship model and will be packed with premium features including Level 2 ADAS, twin digital displays for the infotainment system and instrument cluster, a 360-degree camera and much more.

3. Tata Sierra EV
Tata Motors had showcased the Sierra EV concept at the 2023 Auto Expo and the final production version will retain the original SUV’s design with sweeping connected LED lights in front and tail. The cabin gets a clean design with a dual digital screen, a four-spoke steering wheel and a touch button centre console with toggle switches for fan speed and temperature. The Sierra EV will offer plenty of comfort as the rear seats will be able to slide and recline. The Indian automobile manufacturer has not revealed any details but it could be powered by a 60 kWh to 80 kWh and offer a range of up to 500 km.

4. Tata Harrier EV
Tata Harrier EV will compete against the Mahindra XEV 9e and will hit the showrooms soon after the production-ready version is unveiled at Bharat Mobility. The Harrier EV is expected to be the first Tata Motors EV to get a twin motor set-up and all-wheel-drive system. Tata Motors has kept a tight lip on the battery specifications, but it is expected to offer a range of up to 500 km. The AWD model will get multiple terrain modes like Normal, Snow, Sand, Rock and Grass. It will also be equipped with different traction levels.
