Tata Punch continues to take the pole position as Tata Motors sold 19,158 units in April 2024. The micro SUV silenced its critics who thought it was a flash-in-the-pan Carlos Sainz moment. Well, the momentum is certainly with the Indian automobile manufacturer as it kept the Maruti Suzuki WagonR at bay while the sub-4-metre SUV, the Brezza, stormed to take third place.
This is also the second time in a row that an SUV and a non-Maruti Suzuki vehicle have topped the sales charts. March 2024 saw two SUVs in the top five including the mid-size SUV, and the Hyundai Creta, but April 2024 did one better as Brezza joined the elite club.Â
