Tata Motors has quietly streamlined the Nexon EV lineup by discontinuing some of the variants. Prior to the latest update, the Nexon EV was available with three battery options: 30 kWh, 40.5 kWh, and 45 kWh. With the latest update, Tata Motors has discontinued the Nexon EV variants which came equipped with the 40.5 kWh variants.
The homegrown carmaker had added the larger 45 kWh battery pack to the lineup in September 2024. The discontinued 40.5 kWh battery pack offered a range of 390 km (MIDC cycle), which is 115 km more than the 30 kWh battery pack and 99 km less than what the 45 kWh claim to offer. Post the latest update, the Nexon EV is available in a total of ten variants.

Tata Nexon EV: Battery & Motor specs
The 30 kWh variant of the Nexon EV is powered by a motor that pushes out 128 bhp and 215 Nm of peak torque. On the other hand, the 45 kWh variants are powered by a motor which produces 142 bhp and 215 Nm of torque.
