In 2025, Skoda is set to enter the sub-4 meter SUV segment with the brand-new Kylaq. This SUV will share the made-in-India MQB-A0-IN platform with the Kushaq and the Slavia. The Kylaq is expected to have its global unveiling at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo in January 2025. It will compete with the likes of the Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Tata Nexon, Hyundai Venue, Mahindra 3X0, and Kia Sonet. The Kylaq is anticipated to come equipped with the following features.

Skoda Kylaq: ADAS

With the competition now offering ADAS suite, Skoda could be gearing up to introduce this safety feature in the Kylaq. We will have to wait and see whether it will get the Level 1 or Level 2 safety suite. Currently, the Mahindra 3X0 is only SUV in the segment that offers Level 2 ADAS. Tata Motors is expected to update the Nexon the to Level 2, while Venue and Sonet offer Level 1 ADAS. Maruti Suzuki is yet to introduce the ADAS function, hence, the Brezza doesn’t come with this feature.

Skoda Kylaq: 6 airbags

Safety is paramount and Skoda updated the Kushaq and the Slavia with six airbags as a standard feature. The two Skoda vehicles also received a 5-star safety rating under the Global NCAP tests. The Kushaq and the Slavia also scored full 5 stars for adult and child safety. Cut from the same cloth, the Kylag will also be rock steady when it comes to safety and packed with six airbags.

Skoda Kylaq: Sunroof

Recent spy footage of the Kylaq indicates that Skoda will include a sunroof in this new SUV. Similar to many of its rivals, the Kylaq will feature a single-panel sunroof. Currently, the Mahindra 3X0 is the only model in its class with a panoramic sunroof. Reports suggest that the Nexon may also receive a panoramic sunroof soon.

Skoda Kylaq: Ventilated front seats

Ventilated front seats are a must-have in our tropical climate conditions and Skoda could be offering this feature in the top models of the Kylaq. The Czech Republic automobile manufacturer is offering ventilated front seats in the Kushaq and Slavia. Apart from the Brezza, the rest of the compact SUVs have front-ventilated seats.

Skoda Kylaq: Digital displays

The top-of-line Kylaq could sport a 10-inch infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, while the mid-range may get a 7-inch display. It will come with an 8-inch digital driver’s console which will read out speed, distance travelled, service interval, average fuel consumption and much more.
