Skoda made history by sending its first vehicle, the Kylaq, for Bharat NCAP crash testing and it aced the test, earning a perfect 5-star rating for both adult and child occupant safety.

Skoda Kylaq: Adult Occupant Protection rating
Based on the crash test, the Kylaq scored 30.88 out of 32 points in Adult Occupation Protection, which is 97 per cent. In the Frontal Offset Deformable Barrier test, the Skoda compact SUV received 15.04 out of 16.00 and in the Side Movable Deformable Barrier test, it did even better with 15.84 out of 16.00.
Skoda Kylaq: Child Occupant Protection rating
The Kylaq scored an impressive 45.00 out of 49.00, which is 92 per cent. With full marks in the Dynamic (24) and CRS installation (12), the Skoda SUV lost points in the Vehicle assessment where it managed 9.00 out of 13.00.

The Skoda Kyalq comes with a single engine option—a 1.0-litre TSI engine that delivers 114 bhp and 178 Nm of torque, the same powertrain found in the Kushaq and Slavia. It offers two transmission choices: a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter automatic.
