New-gen Tata Nexon EV: Changes expected
However, the biggest update will be the change in underpinnings. Currently based on the same platform as the combustion engine-powered Nexon, the upcoming second-gen Nexon will be based on the Acti.ev born electric skateboard architecture. It is also expected to come equipped with larger battery packs. In its present form, Nexon EV is offered with three battery options: 30 kWh, 40 kWh and 45 kWh.

The 45 kWh battery offers a range of 489 km on a single charge on the Nexon EV, while the larger 55 kWh unit claims a single-charge range of 585 km on the Curvv EV.
The report further adds that the Nexon EV will be upgraded on the lines of Curvv EV. In terms of safety, 6 airbags will continue to be offered but the Nexon EV will most likely upgrade to a Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS).
