Skoda recently confirmed that it will bring back the Octavia vRS to India as a fully-imported model via the CBU route later this year. It was showcased at the Bharat Mobility Expo earlier this year. A unit of the Octavia vRS was recently caught on camera in its full glory. The Octavia vRS is seen in a parking lot of the building’s basement.Â
The Octavia vRS seen in the latest images is seen wrapped in a green paint scheme called Mamba Green. Like the recently launched CBUs by its German cousin Volkswagen — Tiguan R-Line and Golf GTI — the Skoda Octavis vRS is also expected to be available in limited quantities and in batches, at least initially.
Skoda Octavia RS: Updated exterior & interior
As discussed previously, the Octavia vRS receives a blacked-out butterfly front grille, matrix LED headlamps with updated DRLs, a blacked air dam housed within a reprofiled front bumper, along with dual exhausts, a thin bootlid spoiler, and red strip on the lower lip of the rear. The sedan runs on 18-inch dual-tone machine-cut alloy wheels as standard, with the option of upgrading to 19-inch rims.

Although we haven’t got a sneak peek inside the cabin in these images, we expect the Octavia vRS to get sporty bucket seats, a 3-spoke steering wheel, a large central touchscreen and carbon fibre and Alcantara trim on the dashboard.
Skoda Octavia RS: Powertrain & Performance
The new-generation Octavia vRS is powered by the same 2.0-litre TSI EVO turbocharged petrol engine found in the standard model, but it has been re-tuned to produce an impressive 261 bhp and 370 Nm of peak torque. This engine is mated exclusively to a 7-speed DSG automatic gearbox, sending power to the front wheels.Â
In terms of performance, the sedan accelerates from 0 to 100 kmph in just 6.3 seconds and reaches a top speed of 250 kmph. Twin sports exhaust vents, now standard, enhance the driving experience with an enticing exhaust note.
