Mahindra launched the XEV 9e, along with the BE 6, a couple of months ago with half baked details. Over the course of next two months, the company sporadically revealed a few details of the Born Electric SUVs. Now, Mahindra has revealed every important detail about the XEV 9e and BE 6. Mahindra XEV 9e: Variants & Prices
Mahindra is offering the XEV 9e in five variants namely: Pack One, Pack One Above, Pack Two, Pack Three Select, and Pack Three. Prices start at Rs 21.90 lakh and go up to Rs 30.50 lakh (both ex-showroom). Deliveries of the XEV 9e are expected to commence mid-March onwards. With a phased production ramp-up to meet growing demand, deliveries for Pack 3 start in mid-March 2025, while other variants will roll out between June and August 2025.

Bookings for the coupe electric SUV commence from 14 February 2025 onwards. That said, prospective buyers can express their model and variant preference starting February 6, 2025, at 10 am, via the official Mahindra Electric SUV website allowing them to streamline their booking process ahead of time. Test drives for XEV 9e will begin in a phased manner from 14 January 2025 with Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Pune, Bengaluru, and Chennai being the first cities.
Mahindra XEV 9e: Battery, Range & Motor specs
As previously reported, Mahindra BE 6 and XEV 9e are underpinned by the INGLO skateboard electric platform developed inhouse by Mahindra while motors borrowed from Volkswagen. Mahindra is offering two AC charging options with the XEV 9e: 7.2 kW and 11.2 kW, priced at Rs 50,000 and Rs 75,000, respectively. The price and installation cost of these two chargers are not inclusive of the ex-showroom price.

The platform allows DC fast charging capabilities up to 175 kW which can rejuvenate the battery pack from 20-80 percent in just 20 minutes. The XEV 9e dishes out 228 bhp and 282 bhp with the 59 kWh and 79 kWh batteries, respectively. Mahindra claims an ARAI-certified range of 542 km and 656 km, respectively on single charge. The carmaker says that the 9e can accelerate from 0–100kmph in 6.8 seconds, for the larger battery pack.
