Kia has rejigged the lineup of three of its primary sellers in India. The Korean carmaker has deleted all the diesel-powered variants of Sonet, Seltos, and Carens with the clutchless manual gearbox also known as the intelligent manual transmission (iMT) from the lineups. In addition, Seltos and Sonet have received new trims, while a few trims have been discontinued for all three models.
2025 Kia Sonet updates
The diesel-iMT powertrain, previously offered in the HTX and HTX+ trims, has been discontinued in the HTX+ variant. A new trim, the HTK+(O), has been introduced, slotting in between the HTK(O) and HTX trims. The HTK+(O) is available with both the 1.2-litre petrol-MT and 1.0-litre turbo-petrol-iMT powertrains. Furthermore, Kia has discontinued the Gravity Edition models from the Sonet lineup. The current price range for the Sonet extends from Rs 8.00 lakh to Rs 15.70 lakh (ex-showroom).
