Honda is expected to launch a special edition model of Elevate which is blacked out completely. This is in sync with the recent tradition of OEMs launching black or dark edition models of their premium offerings, especially SUVs in the subcompact, compact, and mid-size segments.

A spy shot of the upcoming Elevate Dark Edition in its full uncamouflaged glory has gone viral on the internet. As expected, the test mule seen in the latest spy image is wrapped in an all-black colour scheme. The bodywork is painted with what looks like Crystal Black Pearl shade.

The gloss black body is complemented by thick black claddings on wheel arches and door sills along with gloss black alloy wheels. On a close glance, one could notice a special Dark Edition badge below the Elevate branding on the tailgate. Other visual elements seen in the latest spy image include black roof rails, dark window tint, and a single-pane electric sunroof.

Honda Elevate Dark Edition: Expected features & specs

There are no images of its interiors but expect the Elevate Dark Edition to be wrapped in an all-black cabin, instead of the dual-tone cabin offered in the regular Elevate. The Elevate Dark Edition will be based on the top-spec variant, and hence, it will come equipped with all bells and whistles like automatic climate control, touchscreen infotainment system, connected car technology, and level-2 ADAS.

Powering the Elevate is a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated iVtec petrol engine which pumps out 119 bhp and 145 Nm of peak torque. This engine is paired with either a 6-speed manual or a 7-step CVT automatic gearbox. The Honda Elevate Dark Edition will compete against the likes of special edition models like  Kia Seltos X-Line, Hyundai Creta Knight Edition Skoda Kushaq Monte Carlo, Volkswagen Taigun GT-Line and the MG Astor Black Storm.

Interestingly, Honda is not participating in the 2025 Bharat Mobility Expo, therefore the upcoming Elevate Dark Edition won’t make its debut at the annual auto exhibition but Honda could however, reveal details about the special edition Elevate around the same time to ride the wave.
