September is the beginning of the festive season in India and it brings a lot of excitement in the automotive market along with it. Not only do OEMs find this a perfect period to launch new models, but also offer exciting benefits on existing models to lure buyers into the showrooms.
With September about to end, there is still a massive frenzy surrounding the Indian auto market with all the recent launches and offers available on both cars and two-wheelers. Let us look at the top 5 vehicles trending in Google in the last week of September.

1. Tata Curvv
Tata Curvv has been the undisputed leader in Google Trends in the past one week in the automobiles category. Tata Motors launched the Curvv EV earlier last month which was followed by its combustion engine derivative earlier on September 2. With a starting price of Rs 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom), the Curvv may be a late entrant to the super competitive compact C-segment of SUVs but it packs all the right ingredients for a successful family car.

Tata has packed the Curvv ICE with three engine options. The base model features the familiar 1.2-liter turbo petrol engine found in the Nexon, while those seeking more torque can opt for the 1.5-liter diesel mill. But the real star of the show is the all-new 1.2-liter Hyperion direct injection petrol engine, which delivers a punchy 123bhp and 225 Nm of torque. Moreover, it’s the first mass-market diesel car to offer a dual-clutch automatic gearbox.
2. Triumph Speed
Triumph Speed is the distant second in the list of most trending vehicles in Google this week. Earlier this month, the iconic British brand launched an updated version of the Speed 400 along with an all-new derivative of the motorcycle called the Speed T4. While the Speed 400 gets some feature and technical upgrades, the Speed T4 is essentially a more affordable version of the former with less equipment and lower engine output.

Both bikes are powered by a 398cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine which is paired with a 6-speed gearbox via a slip and assist clutch. The Speed 400 produces 39.5 bhp at 8,000rpm and 37.5 Nm at 6,500rpm while the Speed T4 kicks out 30.6 bhp at 7000 rpm and 36 Nm at 5000 rpm.
3. TVS Apache RR 310
TVS launched a heavily updated Apache RR 310 a couple of weeks ago. Some of the key upgrades in this motorcycle include a pair of winglets, more power and torque from the engine, a new Bomber Grey colour scheme, and a host of rider aids in the electronic package including cruise control, bi-directional quickshifter, race tuned dynamic stability control, etc.

In addition, the new RR 310 retains the BTO options, which are available in two versions — Dynamic and Dynamic Pro versions, priced at Rs 18,000 and Rs 15.000, respectively. The former gets adjustable USD forks, a brass-coated chain, and a tyre pressure monitoring system. Prices for the Apache RR 310 start at Rs 2.75 lakh and go up to Rs 2.97 lakh (both ex-showroom).
4. Hyundai Alcazar
Hyundai launched the updated Alcazar earlier this month which included a design makeover, some new features, enhanced safety, and new colour schemes. Available in both petrol and diesel engine options, prices for Alcazar start at Rs 14.99 lakh and Rs 15.99 lakh (both ex-showroom). The three-row mid-size SUV is offered in both six and seven-seat layouts.

5. MG Windsor EV
MG Motor India launched the rebadged Wuling Cloud EV as the Windsor EV a few days ago. There are several reasons why this electric car has been trending in Google. For starters, this is the first major launch by MG ever since it joined hands with JSW in India. It is also the first EV in India in which the Battery is being offered as a Service (BaaS). As a result, the starting price for the Windsor with BaaS is Rs 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom).
