Yamaha has announced the launch of a refreshed motorcycle lineup in India for 2024. This update includes fresh colour options and cosmetic enhancements for the popular R15 V4 and the FZ series model range including FZ-S FI Ver 4.0 DLX, FZ-S FI Ver 3.0, FZ FI Ver 3.0, and the FZ-X.
The introduction of vibrant colour schemes and graphical enhancement is to boost sales and establish stronger connections with young customers across the country. The emphasis is on catering to the preferences of young customers and enhancing their experience through these upgrades.
Commenting on the upgrades, Eishin Chihana, Chairman – Yamaha Motor India Group of Companies said, “Yamaha is excited to unveil its refreshed 2024 motorcycle lineup, in line with ‘The Call of the Blue’ brand campaign.” He further added by saying, ““We have introduced these fresh colour schemes after receiving a lot of feedback from our young consumers in the colour related surveys that are being conducted from time to time.”
2024 Yamaha R15 V4 updates
The 2024 R15 V4 model gets an all-new colour scheme – ‘Vivid Magenta Metallic.’ The R15 is exclusively available for sale at Yamaha’s upscale Blue Square outlets. Besides the new paint scheme, the existing Racing Blue and Metallic Red shades have received cosmetic upgrades and will now sport sportier body decals.
The Vivid Magenta Metallic and Racing Blue colour schemes are priced at Rs 1.87 lakh while the Metallic Red is available at Rs 1.82 lakh (both prices ex-showroom). The R15 is powered by a 155cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, SOHC, four-valve, engine with VVA mated to a 6-speed gearbox. This motor dishes out 18.1 bhp at 10,000rpm and a peak torque of 14.2 Nm at 7,500rpm.
2024 Yamaha FZ, FZ-S, FZ-X updates
Yamaha has also updated the 2024 FZ range with new colour schemes. The FZ-S FI Ver 4.0 Deluxe now boasts an all-new ‘Racing Blue’ shade, while the existing Metallic Black paint makes way for a striking Matte Black option. Apart from this, the existing Matte Black and Majesty Red colours have also received stylish cosmetic enhancements.
Seat colour for the entire FZ-S FI Ver 4.0 Deluxe has been transformed to a sleek solid black, adding a refreshing touch to the overall aesthetic. The older Ver 3.0 model of the FZ-S FI also comes with a new Matte Grey shade while the base-spec FZ receives a new Matte Cyan paint.The neo-retro FZ-X, benefits from a Matte Titan colour scheme.
All models under the FZ range are powered by the same 149cc, single-cylinder engine that makes 12.2bhp of maximum power at 7,250rpm and 13.3Nm of peak torque at 5,500rpm.This engine is paired with a 5-speed gearbox.
