Triumph launched the Daytona 660, the most powerful 660 cc motorcycle in its range. With a price tag of Rs 9.72 lakh, this Triumph bike will compete with the Kawasaki Ninja 650 and the Aprilia RS 660, positioning itself between these two contenders.
Triumph Daytona 660: Engine Specs
The legend finally returns to the Indian market and the new version gets a 660 cc inline three-cylinder engine, which makes 94 bhp at 11,250 rpm and 69 Nm torque from 8,250 rpm. This is the same powertrain as the one in the Trident 660 and Tiger Sport 660. The latter two bikes have an output of 80 bhp and 64 Nm. Mated to a 6-speed gearbox, it gets a Torque Assist clutch. Triumph is offering Shift Assist as an accessory.

Previously, the Daytona 675 was on sale in India; however, stringent emission standards necessitated its discontinuation by Triumph.
Triumph Daytona 660: Hardware
Like the Trident 660 and the Tiger Sport 660, the Daytona is also based on the tubular steel perimeter frame with a twin-side swingarm. It sits on 17-inch alloy wheels in front and rear. It is equipped with twin 310 mm disc brakes in front and Showa 41mm upside-down forks with a wheel travel of 110 mm. The rear has a 220 mm single disc brake with a Showa mono-shock with preload adjustment and 130 mm travel. It has a 14-litre fuel tank and a seat height of 810 mm. Triumph is offering a lower seat as an accessory with a seat height of 785 mm.

Triumph Daytona 660: Features
The Daytona 660 features a colour TFT screen instrument console integrated with a white-on-black LCD display. The My Triumph Connectivity System offered as an accessory, allows for turn-by-turn navigation, as well as phone and music control. All functionalities are manageable through the switchgear. The Daytona 660 is equipped with a ride-by-wire throttle that includes three riding modes: Sport, Road, and Rain, each providing a distinct throttle response and traction control intervention level. Additionally, the traction control system can be disabled through the instrument menu.
