The EICMA is a global fanfare for all motorcycle enthusiasts where manufacturers from all across the world showcase their upcoming offerings either in concept or full production-ready forms. The 2024 edition is expected to carry the same hype as the previous editions with plenty of models to be exhibited at Milan.
We look at five most highly anticipated motorcycles that will be showcased at the EICMA this year and will head to the Indian market at some point in the future.
1. Royal Enfield Interceptor Bear 650
The Interceptor Bear 650 or simply the Bear 650 will be the next offering from Royal Enfield which has already broken covers and the images going viral all across the internet. However, the bike will make its official debut in full glory amidst all the glitters at the 2024 EICMA. Based on the same underpinnings as the Interceptor 650, the Bear is a road-biased scrambler that offers a different seat, fatter knobby tyres, and a taller stance thanks to a larger 19-inch front wheel.

Powering the Bear 650 is the acclaimed 648cc oil-cooled parallel-twin unit that makes 47 bhp and 52.3 Nm of peak torque. This motor is paired with a six-speed gearbox that transfers power to the rear wheels via a slip and assist clutch.
2. Royal Enfield electric bike
The second biggest unveil from Royal Enfield will be its first-ever electric motorcycle which was recently teased by the brand on its social media handles. Speculated to be named the Flying Flea, a test mule of this bike was recently spotted on the streets of Barcelona in Spain where it is believed to be conceptualised. We expect Royal Enfield to showcase a pre-production prototype of this motorcycle at the EICMA since the launch of a full-fledged model is still some distance away.

3. New-gen KTM 390 Adventure
The global motorcycling community has been eagerly awaiting for the launch of the new generation KTM 390 Adventure. Test mules of the upcoming adventure tourer have been spotted on numerous occasions over the past couple of years. This motorcycle will be powered by the new-gen 399cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine which made its debut with the new-gen Duke 390 last year.

The engine will be mated to a six-speed gearbox with a slip and assist clutch. It spits out 44.25bhp and 39 Nm of peak torque. There will be multiple iterations of this motorcycle including the standard and the Adventure R or Enduro variants. The new-gen 390 Adventure is expected to hit the Indian roads sometime early next year and will be manufactured by Bajaj Auto at its Chakan-based facility.
4. Hero Xpulse 210
Hero MotoCop will be unveiling as many as four new motorcycles at EICMA 2024. One of them will be the new-gen Xpulse which will most likely upgrade to the 210cc platform from the Karizma XMR. Hero recently teased the new Xpulse on its social media handles confirming its unveiling at the annual motorcycle exhibition. The 210cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine will push out 25.15 bhp and 20.4 Nm of peak torque while being paired with a six-speed gearbox.

5. Hero 250cc sports/naked bikes
Besides the new Xpulse, Hero MotoCorp is expected to showcase two new models– a sports tourer and a naked streetfighter— at the EICMA. The company is likely to adopt the Karizma and Xtreme monikers, respectively and extend its lineup of premium models. Both bikes are speculated to be based on the 2.5R Xtunt concept bike showcased at World Hero Day at the start of 2024.

There is still some ambiguity regarding the powertrain of these two models but it is rumoured to be developed by a brand new 250cc liquid-cooled engine, built grounds up.
