February 2025 has not been a good month for the two-wheeler sector as it witnessed a decline of 8.07% compared to last year. The month-on-month comparison is also not something to rave about as February registered a downslide of 6.5%.
Let the drumroll begin, and the number one spot goes to the undisputed king of two-wheelers—the Hero Splendor. It’s the only motorcycle to surpass the 2 lakh mark. Following closely behind are the Honda Shine in second place and the Bajaj Pulsar in third.

Hero Splendor
The Splendor is India’s best-selling two-wheeler as Hero MotoCorp managed to sell 2,07,763 units. The king of commuter motorcycles has a market share of just over 21% but saw a YoY decline of 25%. The overall sales of Hero Motocorp saw a decline from 468,410 units in February 2024 to 388,068 units in February this year. The exports, on the other hand, increased from 23,153 units to 30,772 units.

Honda Shine
The runner-up position goes to the Honda Shine which sold 1,54,561 units. It was all good news for the Shine as it was in the green. The motorcycle saw a growth of 8.26% YoY and now has a market share of 16.11%. In terms of month-on-month, the Shine sold 1,68,290 units in January, hence, February saw a dip of 8.16%. As a whole, last month was good for Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) as it recorded a total sales volume of 3,83,918 units, which made it the top two-wheeler manufacturer of the month.

Bajaj Pulsar
Pulsar saw a nosedive of 21.90% in February as it clocked 87,902 units. The Bajaj bike currently holds the market share of 9.16%. Last year, it registered 1,42,763 units. It also saw a substantial drop in month-on-month as the Pulsar sold 1,04,081 units in January that’s a dip of 15.54%. Bajaj Auto dispatched 2,99,418 two-wheelers last month, out of which 1,46,138 units accounted for the domestic market while exports contributed 1,53,280 units.

Honda CD Deluxe
The CD Deluxe took fourth place with 70,581 units and a YoY drop of 7.30% as Honda managed to sell 76,138 units last year. There was some good news for Honda as the HP Deluxe registered a month-on-month jump of 13.43% as it clocked 62,223 units in January 2025.

TVS Apache
It was all green for Apache as it grew 9.72% YoY as it sold 37,954 units in February 2025 as compared to 34,593 units last year. The Apache also witnessed 9.98% growth month-on-month as it clocked 34,511 units in January.
