Bajaj recently launched the updated Pulsar N250 with a series of upgrades over the existing model. The Chakan-based bikemaker also retails another Pulsar in the same price range and specs as the N250 in the form of Pulsar NS200. While both of them carry the same ‘Pulsar’ brand name and similar specs, they are meant for a distinct set of buyers.
Let us check which Pulsar is meant for you by going through the specs, features, and prices of both bikes in detail.
Pulsar N250 Vs Pulsar NS200: Engine specs & performance
Clearly evident from their respective names, the N250 is powered by a 250cc motor whereas NS200 derives its power from a 200cc engine. Despite carrying a larger motor, the N250 gets a similar output as the NS200. This is due to the fact that the latter gets a liquid-cooled engine as opposed to the oil-cooled motor used in N250. However, on account of a larger displacement, the N250 delivers a higher peak torque.

Further, the NS200 gets a 6-speed gearbox while N250 gets a 5-speed transmission. The latter also benefits from a slip and assist clutch which offers smoother and precise gear shifts. To summarise, the Pulsar NS200 is tuned to offer better high-end performance whereas the Pulsar N250 is meant to offer better low-end and mid-range performance.
