Bajaj has launched Freedom 125, the world’s first CNG motorcycle, in Karnataka. Priced at Rs 94,995, ex-showroom, Bajaj says that over 30,000 inquiries came within the first week of launch, and hence decided to make the CNG motorcycle available across the nation.

The Bajaj Freedom is available in three variants, which differ in terms of the equipment each carries. The top-spec variant of the Freedom gets a disc brake up front, a digital dash with phone connectivity, an LED headlight, and more.

Other equipment such as the 16-inch rear wheel, trellis frame, alloy wheels, telescopic front suspension, a monoshock at the rear, and other bits are standard across all three variants of the Bajaj Freedom. The Freedom is powered by a 125cc engine and gets a two-litre fuel tank as well.

Speaking about the launch, Sarang Kanade, President Motorcycles, Bajaj Auto, said, After the launch on the 5th of July, we received an overwhelming response from our customers and are committed to making the Bajaj Freedom 125 accessible to as many Indians as possible.”

He added, “After Maharashtra, Gujarat, Kerala and Delhi NCR, to celebrate our nation’s 77th Independence Day, we’re expanding availability to 77 towns, with the launch in Karnataka. The Freedom 125 not only addresses rising fuel costs but also supports our commitment to reducing the environmental impact of transportation.”
