Commenting on the launch, Itaru Otani, Chairman, Yamaha Motor India Group of Companies said, “The MT-15 Version 2.0 has carved a strong identity in the street-naked segment with its aggressive styling, performance-oriented engineering, and everyday versatility. Ever since we introduced the colour TFT Display with Turn-By-Turn Navigation feature on the popular R15M, we received consistent demand from MT-15 customers for similar advancements.”

Further, the updated MT-15 V2 DLX now comes in two new colour options — Ice Storm, a popular MT Series shade globally, now making its India debut, and Vivid Violet Metallic, along with the existing Metallic Black. The standard variant also gets a bold new Metallic Silver Cyan.

2025 Yamaha MT-15: Mechanical Specs

Mechanically, the 2025 Yamaha M2 has remained unchanged. It draws power from a 155cc liquid-cooled engine with Variable Valve Actuation (VVA) that kicks out 18.4 bhp at 10,000 rpm and a peak torque of 14.1 Nm of torque at 7,500 rpm. Power is sent to the rear wheel via a 6-speed gearbox with the help of a slip and assist clutch.

Underpinning the MT-15 V2 is a familiar Deltabox frame that is suspended by upside down front forks, a rear monoshock, and a MotoGP-inspired aluminium swingarm. The naked streetfighter rolls on 17-inch alloy wheels while the wheels are shod with road-biased tyres. The bike weighs 141 kg (kerb). Other features on offer include a traction control system that boosts rider confidence on varied surfaces.
