New Zealand snapped a 10-match T20 losing streak with a commanding 58-run victory over India as both teams kicked off their Group A campaigns.

After winning the toss, the Kiwis opted to bat first at Dubai International Stadium. Captain Sophie Devine led the charge, notching up a solid fifty in their total of 160 for 4.

In response, India, considered one of the favorites to claim their first T20 title, struggled significantly and were bowled out for just 102 runs.
