Railways to go airport way? Luggage charges, fines, and visitor passes to get soo
Indian Railways will be implementing a baggage charges policy to ensure standardization of luggage weight. Passengers will have to weigh their luggage and those exceeding the limit will face penalties. The current baggage limit policy will be strictly enforced. From December 2026, only valid ticket holders will be allowed at railway stations. Non-travellers will need to purchase a 'visitor pass'.
