Indian Railways to develop dedicated passenger corridors, launch Vande Bharat 4.0
Indian Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw revealed a 30-year plan to create a Dedicated Passenger Corridor (DPC) to meet the increasing demand for passenger trains. The high-speed rail network, with speeds up to 350 kmph, will be exclusively for passengers and is inspired by the success of the Dedicated Freight Corridors (DFC). The DPC will also prioritize modernization and expansion efforts.
