The BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty opened stronger on Tuesday following firm global cues. At 9.56 am, Sensex was up 114.42 points at 27,992.69. Similarly, Nifty was up 33.35 points at 8,510.65 during the same time.

Mahindra & Mahindra: The auto major stocks will be in focus after the company said on Monday that it has received shareholders’ approval to raise up to Rs 5,000 crore through issuance of securities on private placement basis in domestic and/or international markets. The shares were up 0.77 per cent at Rs 1362 in early trade.
Adani Ports: The stocks of the Gautam Adani-led company will be in focus after Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone (APSEZ) on Monday said that it has entered into an agreement with the Kerala government for building Rs 7,525 crore Vizhinjam seaport project, which is expected to be operational in a record time of less than 1,000 days. The shares were up 3.11 per cent in early trade at Rs 369.
Birla Corp: Stocks of Birla Corporation will be in focus after the company on Monday announced acquisition of LafargeHolcim’s two cement plants in Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh for Rs 5,000 crore. The shares were down 3.10 per cent at Rs 523.5 in early trade.
Eicher Motors: To cater to the North American market, niche bike maker Royal Enfield has set up a direct distribution subsidiary in the US, its first outside India. The company, the two-wheeler division of Eicher Motors, also plans to open its fully-branded retail stores in the US that will sell its entire product line up of motorcycles and gear. The shares were up 0.98 per cent at Rs 2872 in early trade.
Sun TV: The stocks of the company will be in focus as the government has decided to challenge the decisions of the Madras and Delhi High Courts allowing Kalanithi Maran promoted Sun Group to participate in the FM radio phase-III auction. The shares were down 0.99 per cent at Rs 360.55 in early trade.
