Share Market News Today | Sensex, Nifty, Share Prices Highlights: The benchmark equity indices ended Thursday’s trading session in the positive territory. The NSE Nifty 50 gained 187.85 points or 0.76% to settle at 24,800.10, while the BSE Sensex jumped 626.91 points or 0.78% to 81,343.46. The broader indices ended in mixed territory, with gain led by Large-cap. Bank Nifty index ended higher by 223.90 points or 0.43% to settle at 52,620.70. IT and FMCG stocks outperformed among the other sectoral indices while Metal and Media stocks shed.

WTI crude prices were trading at $83.30 up by 0.55%, while Brent crude prices were trading at $85.35 up by 0.31%, on Thursday morning.
Asian Paints released its fiscal first quarter earnings with a profit drop of 24.6% on-year during the first quarter of FY25. The profit was recorded at Rs 1,186.79 crore as compared to Rs 1,574.84 crore reported during the corresponding quarter of FY24. It posted revenue from operations at Rs 8,969.73 crore, down 2.3% as against Rs 9,182.31 crore during the same period last year.
The US Dollar Index (DXY), which measures the dollar’s value against a basket of six foreign currencies, was trading up 0.05% at 103.73 on Thursday morning.
LTIMindtree reported a sequential increase in its revenue and net profit for the quarter that ended June, driven by deal ramp-ups and a rise in digital spending by clients. However, while the topline exceeded estimates, the bottom line slightly missed Street expectations. The consolidated revenue rose nearly 3% quarter-on-quarter to Rs 9,142.6 crore in April-June. This is also higher than the Bloomberg estimate of Rs 9,075 crore.
US markets on Wednesday saw a sharp decline as rotation continues out of tech and chip stocks. The broader market index, the S&P 500, lost 1.39% to close at 5,588.27. Similarly, the tech-heavy Nasdaq Composite tumbled 2.77% to settle at 17,996.92. However, bucking the trend, the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 243.60 points, or 0.59%, to end at 41,198.08.
