Punjab & Sind Bank: Shares of the bank climbed 4.18 per cent to settle at Rs 38.65 on BSE after the company reported a profit of Rs 98.12 crore for the March quarter.

Century Plyboards: Stocks of the company closed 4.62 per cent down at Rs 180.50 after it reported a 15.53 per cent decline in standalone net profit at Rs 40.52 crore for the quarter ended March 31.

Deepak Nitrite: Stocks of the company closed 1.76 per cent up at Rs 72.30 after it reported 35.01 per cent rise in net profit at Rs 20.56 crore for the quarter ended March 2016. It has posted a net profit of Rs 15.23 crore in the same quarter last year.

Alstom India: Stocks of the company settled 0.26 per cent up at Rs 612 after it reported about 62 per cent drop in its net profit to Rs 27.40 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2016 compared to Rs 71.93 crore in the same quarter a year ago.

Jaypee Infratech: Share price of the company closed 2.74 per cent down at Rs 6.74 after the National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission (NCDRC) directed Jaypee Group to hand over possession of Kalypso Court project in Noida by July 21, 2016, or pay penalty of Rs 5,000 per flat per day till the project is completed. Sugar companies stocks: Shares of sugar companies such as Simbhaoli Sugars (closed 7.56 per cent up) and Upper Ganges Sugar (closed 5.93 per cent up) closed higher after the Indian Sugar Mills Association (ISMA) said that there was no need for imports as domestic sugar stocks were adequate. The association believes that domestic sugar stock piles are enough to last for the coming 24 months and hence make the need for any imports redundant.

 

Hindustan Unilever: Stocks of FMCG major ended 1.93 per cent up at Rs 862.45 after it reported an increase of 7.02 per cent in standalone net profit at Rs 1,089.59 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2016.
