Prime Minister Narendra Modi has emerged at the top of the just-announced list of 100 most powerful citizens. Ahead of the Lok Sabha Elections, the IE 100 List shows how BJP remains in a strong position. Although the list is dominated by top politicians and ministers in the Narendra Modi government, there are some key figures from India Inc, sports and entertainment industry.

Talking about the top 5 people, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) dominates the IE100 list. PM Modi is ranked no.1, Union Home Minister Amit Shah is at number 2 followed by RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat, Chief Justice DY Chandrachud and Minister of External Affairs S Jaishankar at number 5.

Interestingly, India’s richest man, Mukesh Ambani lost the spot in the top 10 list and is ranked at 11. The profound list fails to allot space to women sports personalities except Vinesh Phogat who shook the Delhi streets with her protest against sexual offender WFI Chief Sanjay Singh and his loyalist Brijbhusan Bhavan.
