Mainpuri Lok Sabha Election 2024 Results Highlights: The Mainpuri constituency in the state of Uttar Pradesh is one of its key constituencies as it is a Samajwadi Party stronghold. The constituency went to polls on May 7 in the third phase of voting and saw a voter turnout of 58.73 per cent. Mainpuri consists of five assembly segments: Mainpuri, Kishani (SC), Karhal, Jaswantnagar, and Bhongaon.
Samajwadi Party’s Dimple Yadav defended the parties bastion and emerged victorious with a total of 598526 votes. She defeated BJP”s Jayveer Singh by a margin of 221639 votes. Meanwhile, Akhilesh Yadav won from Kannauj by a margin of 170922 votes.
Mainpuri Uttar Pradesh Lok Sabha Election 2024 Result Highlights
In a massive win, Samajwadi Party’s Dimple Yadav has won in Mainpuri by a margin of 221639 votes, defeating BJP‘s Jayveer Singh.
The constituency has been an SP stronghold. In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Mulayam Singh Yadav ran as a joint candidate of the SP, BSP, and RLD alliance, winning by a margin of 94,000 votes with a vote share of 53.75%. Yadav also won this seat in 1996, 2004, and 2014.
Congress‘ Rahul Gandhi has said that this election was fought to save the Constitution. He added that the people are correlating Gautam Adani with PM Modi. “The country has clearly stated, we don not want Mr Narendra Modi and Mr Amit Shah…We do not appreciate the way they have run this country,” he added.
The ECI has declared Prime Minister Narendra Modi as the winner from Varanasi with 612970 votes. Congress‘ Ajay Rai gave him a good competition.
As per the ECI data, SP’s Dimple Yadav is still leading from Mainpuri and has so far garnered 438966 votes. In comparison, BJP‘s Jayveer Singh is trailing by 157342 votes.
There is no stopping SP’s Dimple Yadav, current SP MP from Mainpuri and the wife of former UP CM Akhilesh Yadav, who is leading by over 90,000 votes. Take a look at the vote share of the candidates as per the ECI data.
From temple visits to roadshows and public rallies, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath conducted a total of 21 campaign events across Uttar Pradesh leading up to the 2024 Lok Sabha Elections. The duo participated in five roadshows and addressed 15 public rallies. Additionally, they visited Varanasi’s Kashi Vishwanath and Kaal Bhairav temples
Union Minister Smriti Irani is trailing in Amethi by over 15,000 votes. Earlier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi was trailing in Varanasi, however, he reclaimed the lead.
SP’s Dimple Yadav has maintained her lead in Mainpuri. She ahead in the game by 29162 votes, ECI’s data showed.
