Kolkata West Bengal Lok Sabha Election 2024 Result Live Updates: The counting in West Bengal has ended.
The TMC has witnessed a thumping majority in Kolkata Dakshin and Kolkata Uttar with its respective candidates making a clean sweep. Bandyopadhyay Sudip won from Kolkata Uttar with 454696 votes and Mala Roy won from Kolkata Dakshin with 615274 votes.
In Kolkata Uttar, AITC’s Bandyopadhyay Sudip has maintained his lead today and is currently ahead of BJP‘s Tapas Roy by 83731 votes. Meanwhile, Mala Roy of AITC is leading from Kolkata Dakshin by 186266 votes.
West Bengal Cm Mamata Banerjee has said that she is happy that the BJP did not get single-largest majority, adding that PM Modi has lost his credibility and that he should resign immediately.
AITC’s Pathan Yusuf is leading from Baharampur, while Bengal Congress chief Adhir Chowdhury is trailing by 69102 votes.
The Lok Sabha Election 2024 saw 64.2 crore voters cast their vote. Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar said, “India created a world record with 64.2 crore voters, including 31.2 crore women, participating in the Lok Sabha elections this year.”
