Actor Chance Perdomo, who rose to fame as a star of “Chilling Adventures of Sabrina” and “Gen V,” has died at age 27 following a motorcycle crash. “On behalf of the family and his representatives, it is with heavy hearts that we share the news of Chance Perdomo’s untimely passing as a result of a motorcycle accident,” a publicist said in a statement issued Saturday evening. The statement said no one else was involved in the crash. No details about the crash, including when and where it took place, were immediately released. (AP)

According to a senior health official, Kolkata has witnessed two deaths due to adenovirus infection in the past week. One child passed away at a hospital in the Park Circus area on Friday night, while another succumbed to the virus at Dr. BC Roy Post Graduate Institute of Paediatric Sciences a week ago.

On Sunday, Bhupen Kumar Borah, the Assam Congress president, urged the public to donate funds to support party candidates participating in the Lok Sabha elections. He stated that the organization was grappling with a severe financial challenge following the alleged sealing of its accounts, which he attributed to the BJP government.

A scrap godown was completely destroyed after a fire broke out at 11.35 pm at the scrap godown in Parasnath compound in Maharashtra’s Thane district, civic officials said on Sunday. No one was injured in the incident which took place in Walpada area of Bhiwandi township late Saturday night, Thane Municipal Corporation’s disaster management cell chief Yasin Tadvi said.

Furthermore, I affirm that the TMC fully supports the INDIA alliance.”

Tejashwi Yadav says, “The Enforcement Directorate (ED), Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), and Income Tax (IT) department are essentially extensions of the BJP. Lalu Ji has faced numerous instances of harassment. There have been cases lodged against me as well.”

“My mother, sisters, brother-in-law, and all my father’s relatives were embroiled in legal battles… Presently, many of our leaders are being subjected to raids. CPI leader D Raja highlighted the concerning developments during his address at the INDIA bloc’s ‘Loktantra Bachao’ rally at Ramlila Maidan in Delhi.

He said, “Arvind Kejriwal, the duly elected Chief Minister of Delhi, has been arrested. The union government is employing various central agencies such as the ED and Income Tax Department to target opposition parties.”

Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray said at INDIA bloc rally in Ramlila Maidan, “A few days ago, there was concern about whether our country was heading towards dictatorship. Today, that concern has transformed into reality. If the BJP government believes that the arrests of Arvind Kejriwal and Hemant Soren will instill fear among the people, then they have underestimated the resilience of their fellow countrymen. The people of India are not ones to cower in fear; they possess the courage and determination to stand up and fight.”

Thackeray says, “Now, their (BJP‘s) aspiration is to secure over 400 seats… The era of a single party and individual rule must come to an end… Our presence here is not merely for electoral campaigning; we stand united to safeguard democracy.”
