Assembly by-election 2022: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Sunday won three seats in Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar, while the RJD retained the Mokama assembly seat in Bihar in the bypolls to seven assembly constituencies in six states. In the Andheri (East) Assembly seat in Mumbai, Rutuja Latke, the candidate of the Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray), won the bypoll. The Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) won the Munugode Assembly seat in Telangana.
The BJP retained the Gola Gokarannath assembly seat in Uttar Pradesh as Aman Giri defeated Samajwadi Party candidate by over 34,000 votes. In Haryana’s Adampur, BJP’s candidate Bhavya Bishnoi defeated his rival and Congress candidate Jai Prakash by a margin of around 16,000 votes. In Bihar, RJD candidate Neelam Devi won the Mokama seat by more than 16,000 votes. The saffron-party retained the Gopalganj assembly seat with its candidate Kusum Devi polling 70,032 votes.
The by-elections across the six states took place on November 3.

Assembly by-polls results: BJP wins in Odisha, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, and Bihar’s Gopalganj. RJD wins in Mokama in Bihar, while TRS bagged in Telangana’s Munugode, and Shiv Sena’s (Uddhav Thackeray) faction won the Andheri (East) seat.
K Prabhakar Reddy of the TRS bagged 96,598 votes in total, and Komatireddy Rajgopal Reddy from the BJP secured 86,485 votes as the 15th and the last round of counting came to an end.

BJP's candidate Suryabanshi Suraj won the by-polls with 80,090 votes, and Abanti Das from the Biju Janata Dal lost with 70,288 votes, as the 19th round of counting finished.
BJP retains Odisha's Dhamnagar assembly seat, defeating nearest BJD rival by margin of 9881 votes: EC official (PTI).

K Prabhakar Reddy secured 7,448 votes in 12th round of voting, as he bagged 82,025 votes so far.
BJP's candidate K Rajgopal Reddy secured 5,448 votes in the current round, and has secured 74,224 votes so far.
Three more rounds of counting to go.
BJP candidate got 75,239 votes as the 17th round of counting results were out, BJD's candidate got 66,414 votes.
TRS candidate K Prabhakar Reddy is leading in the round 11 of counting with 74,577 votes in total so far.
BJP's K Rajgopal Reddy is trailing with 68,776 votes.
After completing the 10th round of counting, TRS candidate Koosukuntla Prabhakar Reddy leads with 67,363 votes; BJP's Komatireddy Raj Gopal Reddy trails with 62,923 votes. (ANI)

BJP's K Rajgopal Reddy is trailing with 55,908 votes.
BJP candidate Suryabanshi Suraj leads with 63,031 votes, as Abanti Das from ruling BJD trails with 59,393 in round 15 of counting.

Rutuja Latke, candidate of Uddhav Thackeray's Shiv Sena, “This victory is of my husband and the development works he did in Andheri. I will go to the election centre now and later to Matoshree to seek blessings.”

Suryabanshi Suraj of BJP leading qith 49,794 votes in round 12, and Abanti Das of ruling BJD trailing with 44,484 votes.
The constituency will likely have 18 rounds of counting.
Bhavya Bishnoi of the BJP won the Adampur by-polls with 67,376 votes, and Jai Prakash, a three-time MP from Hisar and two-time MLA who is the Congress' candidate, lost with 51,662 votes.
BJP retained the Gopalganj assembly seat in Bihar, beating the RJD.
Kusum Devi, wife MLA Subhash Singh whose death had necessitated the by-election, polled 70,032 votes, while RJD's Mohan Gupta got 68,243.
Asaduddin Owaisi's AIMIM and Mayawati's BSP, often accused of being the BJP's “B team” by the RJD, finished third and fourth respectively, together accounting for more than 20,000 votes. (PTI)
Rutuja Latke, widow of sitting MLA Ramesh Latke, had a clear majority in the by-polls with 66,247 votes.
Interestingly, None of the Above (NOTA) pooled in more votes than the other candidates in fray. The NOTA option got 12,776 votes in the by-poll.
BJP's candidate Suryabanshi Suraj leading with 36,073 votes in the eighth round of voting.
Abanti Das of Biju Janata Dal is trailing with 30,082 votes.
A total of 18 rounds of counting to take place in the Dhamnagar constituency in Odisha's Bhadrak district.

RJD's Neelam Devi got 76,979 votes, and BJP's Sonam Devi got 60,402 votes.
A total of 21 rounds of counting took place in the constituency.
RJD retained the Mokama assembly seat of Bihar. The by-poll was necessitated by the disqualification of its MLA Anant Kumar Singh, in July after conviction by a Patna court in a case related to recovery of arms and explosives from his residence.
Singh's wife Neelam Devi, the party's candidate, defeated her nearest BJP rival by a comfortable margin of more than 16,000 votes. (PTI)
Aman Giri got 1,24,810 votes, and Vinay Tiwari got 90,512 votes in the final round of counting.
Counting of all 32 rounds is over, as per the EC website.

The Dhamnagar seat fell vacant following the death of BJP MLA Bishnu Charan Sethi who passed away in September. A voter turnout of 69.98 per cent was recorded on Nov 3, the polling day.
The BJP fielded Suryabanshi Suraj, son of the deceased MLA, and the ruling Biju Janata Dal's candidate is Abanti Das, in the Dhamnagar constituency in Odisha's Bhadrak district.
Congress' nominee is Baba Harekrushna Sethi.
Three-tier security arrangement is in place for the counting exercise.
A central supervisor, an assistant supervisor and a micro-observer are present along with party agents at the counting centre.
On the day of polling on Nov 3, sporadic violence was reported in the constituency on Friday and Saturday. Three people, including a woman, were injured and a house burnt down in the violence in Tihidi block.
Odisha's Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) S K Lohani, however, said on Saturday that he had no information on post-poll violence. (PTI)
Adampur by-poll was necessitated after the sitting Congress MLA Kuldeep Bishnoi resigned in August and switched to the BJP, while the by-poll in Gola Gokaranannath was needed following the death of sitting MLA Arvind Giri.
