National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC), the largest power utility in the country, signed a term loan agreement of R10,000 crore with the State Bank of India (SBI) on Thursday.
The loan has a door-to-door tenure of 15 years and will part finance the capital expenditure of NTPC, a joint press relase said on Friday. The agreement was signed in the presence of Arup Roy Choudhury, chairman and managing director, NTPC; Arundhati Bhattacharya, chairman of SBI, and K Biswal, director (finance), NTPC.
