The Jeep Compass is the first locally assembled SUV offered by the American carmaker in the country. It is offered with a 1.4-litre petrol and a 2.0 litre diesel engine mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. By the upcoming festive season, the company is also expected to introduce an automatic gearbox option. The Jeep Compass is offered in five exterior colour options, Vocal White, Brilliant Black, Hydro Blue, Minimal Grey and Exotica Red. It measures 4,395 mm in length, 1,818 mm in width, 1,640 mm in height and have a wheelbase of 2,636 mm. It has a ground clearance of 178 mm. The Jeep Compass is offered in seven variants, Sport, Longitude, Longitude Option, Limited, Limited Option, Limited 4X4, Limited 4X4 Option. The all-wheel-drive trims are available only for the diesel engine options.

    The Jeep Compass SUV measures 4,395 mm in length, 1,818 mm in width, 1,640 mm in height and have a wheelbase of 2,636 mm. It has a ground clearance of 178 mm. It is offered in five exterior colour options, Hydro Blue, Vocal White, Brilliant Black, Minimal Grey and Exotica Red. While the higher versions of the Jeep Compass are offered with Bi-Xenon HID (High Intensity Discharge) Lamps, the lower ones are fitted only with dual halogen headlamps. That said, all variants of the Jeep Compass that are offered in India come with Daytime Running Lamps.

    The Jeep Compass is offered with a touchscreen infotainment system across its variant range. While the 5.0 inch Uconnect touchscreen infotainment system is offered in the Sport variant, the Longitude as well as a Limited trims get a 7.0-inch unit. The small infotainment system also has limited functionality as it only supports Bluetooth connectivity whereas, the larger infotainment unit also supports Android Auto as well Apple CarPlay. The top-spec version also get dual zone automatic climate control.

    Powering the Jeep Compass are two engine options, a 1.4-litre petrol unit and a 2.0-litre diesel motor. The petrol engine generates 161 hp of power and 250 Nm of torque while the diesel unit produces 172 hp of power and 350 Nm of torque. These performance figures are impressive for its segment.

    The Jeep Compass is available in two transmission options, a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed dual clutch automatic gearbox. While the automatic transmission will be available eventually, the manual gearbox is already on sale. The manual transmission has been tuned for the best balance between performance and fuel efficiency.
