The 2024 Dakar Rally is around the corner and Banbury-based Prodive is eyeing for victory with two of Dakar’s greatest names driving the Hunters. For 2024, 9-time WRC champion Sebastien Loeb will continue with the team, while five-time Dakar champion Nasser Al-Attiyah will make his first outing with Prodrive.
Ever since Sebastien Loeb started his Dakar career in 2016, the battle between the Frenchman and the Qatari has been intense, however, despite his best, Loeb has never managed a win, while his best was second in 2022 and 2023, losing the overall victory to his current teammate, Nasser Al-Attiyah.

Loeb’s Dakar career includes 23 stage wins with four stage wins in his first race itself. In the 2023 Dakar Rally, Loeb racked in 7 stage victories in the Prodrive Hunter, while Al-Attiyah managed three stage wins and the title. For 2024, competition will be intense as the rivals will be battling for the win on the same cars as teammates.

Nasser Al-Attiyah needs no introduction as he has been racing in the Dakar Rally since 2004. The Qatari has also managed to win the Dakar with three different brands — Volkswagen in 2011, Mini in 2015, and Toyota in 2019, 2022, and 2023. Now with Prodrive, Al-Attiyah is looking for a win with a fourth manufacturer.
The Qatari has a total of 46 stage wins in his Dakar career and is eyeing his third consecutive Dakar win in 2024, alongside his trusty French co-driver, Mathieu Baumel, who has been with Al-Attiyah for many years now. Can the Qatari get his third consecutive Dakar win in 2024, or will it be Loeb’s year? Stay tuned for all the updates from the 2024 Dakar Rally.
