The Aussi’s back, taking stage wins, making it his fifth in the 2025 Dakar Rally. Daniel Sanders has shown consistent pace this year and it’s paying off. In the cars category, it was Lucas Moraes who took the stage win, bringing the Toyota dominance back to this year’s Dakar Rally. The 716km stage 7 of this year’s rally was a mix of rocks and sand, giving the competitors a taste of what the rally is all about.

After missing two stage wins, Sanders is back, taking his fifth win in the race so far. He was followed by KTM teammate Edgar Canet from the Rally 2 class in second, who also leads in his category. Third place was Honda’s Schareina, followed by Quintanilla – a man who has been quiet so far this year – and Frenchman Van Beveren. Honda’s dominance is closing in on KTM and Sanders has a tough job this year.
KTM’s Luciano Benavides finished the stage in seventh, followed by Hero’s lone rider, Nacho Cornejo. In the overall standings after stage 7 of the 2025 Dakar Rally, Sanders leads, followed by three Hondas — Schareina, Van Beveren, and defending champion Ricky Brabec.
