Stage 10 of the 2025 Dakar Rally continues to throw challenges and the day’s win went to Rally 2 rider Michael Docherty, the 22-year-old South African. In the cars category, it was Ford’s Nani Roma. The Dakar Rally now enters the empty quarter, and all the big names in the motorcycle category have held back for an easier start for Stage 11. Here are the highlights.
2025 Dakar Rally Stage 10 results — Motorcycles
In the motorcycle category, the first three positions went to new names — Docherty, Goncalves, and Ebster. None of the leaders made it to the top five even, as they slowed down for a better start position for Stage 11 of the Dakar Rally.
In the overall standings, the leaderboard remains unchanged, as Sanders still leads with a little over 16 minutes advantage over Honda’s Schareina in second. Van Beveren is third overall, followed by KTM’s Benevides and the defending champion, Ricky Brabec in fifth.

In the cars category, Nani Roma won the stage, and it was the first time he won this Dakar. He was followed by Toyota’s Moraes in second and Dania Akeel in third. The stage saw tensions flare between Nasser Al-Attiyaha and his co-driver Boulanger, after a navigation mistake that caused them valuable time over the race leader, finishing the stage in the 61st position.
Overall, Lategan has reclaimed the lead he lost in the previous stage, followed by Yazeed Al-Rajhi in second place with a two-minute gap, while Ekstrom is third with a gap of over 26 minutes from the leader.
