Ultraviolette pulled a big surprise by launching India’s first all-electric enduro motorcycle, the Shockwave. Before you go ahead and put your money on the Shockwave, here are three highlights about the motorcycle you must know.
Ultraviolette Shockwave — Top highlights
Design

We have to start with the design. The Shockwave is built around a new lightweight platform and gets inspiration for what rally bikes could look like in the future. It sports a narrow profile with a tall visor, vertically stacked headlights, a high front fender and also gets the option of having dual seats (pillion seat). Overall, it ticks all the right boxes for being an enduro bike but is fully street-legal as well. The colour combination is eye-catching as well and there are two to choose from: Cosmic Black and Frost White.
Features and electronics

This is a long section. The Shockwave, apart from the fact that it has spoke wheels, long travel suspension, disc brakes, and other bits, get a host of electronics that make the bike extremely interesting. The Shockwave gets four traction control modes, switchable dual-channel ABS, and six levels of dynamic regeneration. That said, it also gets a TFT instrument cluster with smartphone connectivity.
