Tesla will be using an existing architecture from its current vehicle to keep the costs low. The company has not disclosed the details, specifications or even the design of the new EV. Tesla CFO Vaibhav during the Q4 earnings conference calls revealed that the company is on track to launch a more affordable model in the first half of 2025.Â
Tesla Roadster
The Roadster will be Tesla’s answer to sports cars and is expected to be powered by three electric motors. It will get two motors on the rear axle and one in front. The details of the second-generation Roadster are not revealed but in 2017, Elon Musk said that it will have a top speed of 402 kmph and will be capable of doing 0 – 100 kmph in around 1.9 seconds. Reports suggest that the Roadster could be powered by a 200 kWh battery with a range of up to 1000 km.
