Ola Electric has made a grand entry into the electric motorcycle market with the introduction of three models: the Roadster, Roadster X, and Roadster Pro. Despite the naming, the Roadster X is the most budget-friendly option. Let’s delve into the details and uncover everything there is to know about this new electric motorcycle.
Ola Roadster X: Battery Specs
The Roadster X comes in three trims, based on their battery packs: 2.5 kWh, 3.5 kWh, and 4.5 kWh. Each trim produces 14.75 bhp. The top speeds are 105 kmph for the 2.5 kWh, 117 kmph for the 3.5 kWh, and 124 kmph for the 4.5 kWh model. They all feature three riding modes: Eco, Normal, and Sport. According to Ola, the 4.5 kWh variant accelerates from 0 to 40 kmph in just 2.8 seconds.
Ola Roadster X: Range
As mentioned earlier, the Roadster X comes in three options. According to Ola, the 2.5 kWh returns a ride range of 117 km, the 3.5 kWh offers 159 km and the top biggest battery, the 4.5 kWh, has 200 km. We will need to test it to determine the actual real-world figures.Â
Ola Roadster X: Features
The Roadster X comes equipped with the latest Move OS5 as standard. It features a 4.3-inch digital LCD instrument cluster, which is not touch-enabled. The display shows information such as the speedometer, ride modes, range, tachometer, turn-by-turn navigation, connected technology, and tyre pressure monitoring. Additionally, the Roadster X includes regenerative braking, cruise control, geo-fencing, a reverse mode, and comprehensive LED lighting.
Ola Roadster X: Hardware
The Roadster X is based on a double cradle frame with a low centre of gravity for better handling traits. It gets front telescopic forks with a mono-shock at the rear. The entry-level electric motorcycle comes with a front disc brake and drum at the rear. It isn’t equipped with ABS rather the EV motorcycle features a Combi-Brake system.
Ola Roadster X: Price
The Roadster X is priced between Rs 74,999 and Rs 99,999. It can be booked on the Ola Electric official website for Rs 999. Ola has stated that deliveries are set to commence in 2025.
