Ola Electric’s motorcycle launch is around the corner, and slowly, new details are emerging from teasers. Previous teasers have already revealed a few design elements such as the headlight setup, and a few other design bits. Now, the latest teaser reveals more, and also raises a pressing question — is it a brake lever or a clutch on the left side of the handlebar?
Ola electric motorcycle new details
The latest details reveal the single-seat design of the Ola electric motorcycle in comparison to the split-seat design seen on the concept that was unveiled last year. A closer look at the headlight design shows a horizontal DRL with blinkers mounted above the headlight unit.

Other details from the teaser show a hollow side panel, red stitching on the seat, red highlights on the wheels, and the tail lights nestled under the seat. The teaser also shows the TFT dash, which is expected to be a full-colour unit with phone connectivity and a host of other options, similar to the Ola S1 Pro scooter.
The biggest question, however, is the lever on the left side of the handlebar — is it a clutch or brake? If it is a clutch lever, the Ola motorcycle will be the second electric vehicle on offer after the Matter Aera to sport a gearbox. However, seeing that it is a hydraulic unit, and the motorcycle features basic components such as telescopic forks, it could be the rear brake. More details will be revealed on August 15 when the motorcycle will be unveiled.
