Hero is gearing up to launch two off-road capable motorcycles soon — the Xpulse 210 and the Xpulse 421 that was trademarked a few days ago. Now, the company has trademarked an electric bike under the Vida brand. From the images, the electric dirtbike looks more for kids or beginners. Here are more details.
Hero electric off-road bike: More details
From the image, the electric motorcycle looks purpose-built — minimal bodywork, narrow profile, aggressive tank shrouds, knobby tyres with wire-spoke wheels, USD forks, and a monoshock at the rear. The motorcycle looks like it’s a beginner motorcycle for kids and not a serious competition motorcycle.
The foot pegs are set to the centre with the electric motor also positioned in a way to give the bike a better centre of gravity. Another interesting aspect is the lack of brakes at both ends. This, however, could change when Hero starts manufacturing the motorcycle.
Hero showcased the Vida Aero motorcycle concept at EICMA 2024, however, this trademark image looks completely different, suggesting that Hero could be developing a series of electric vehicles under the Vida brand, probably targeting the global markets as well. Stay tuned for more updates.
