Electric scooter concepts are getting interesting and Hero MotoCorp has taken it to a whole new level with the Surge S32 convertible electric scooter concept. Unveiled at the Hero World 2024, the scooter, developed by Surge, a Hero MotoCorp-owned startup, can be converted into a three-wheeler.
Interesting concept. The Surge S32 convertible electric scooter concept has been designed to offer personal mobility as well as commercial purposes if needed. The company believes that there is an audience for such vehicles, especially with small business owners.
Hero says that the scooter can be converted to a three-wheeler in three minutes, and it plugs into an electric controller that allows the rider to access the controls of the three-wheeler via the scooter handlebar. The scooter and the three-wheeler have separate battery packs and motors.
Now, this still being in its concept form, the Surge S32 convertible electric scooter will not enter the market soon. However, Hero has already worked with the government to create a new L2-5 category, which means Hero is serious about launching the convertible e-scooter when demand arises.
