Mahindra made a big splash in the automotive world with the launch of the BE 6 and XEV 9e electric SUVs, featuring advanced BYD battery technology and aggressive pricing. But these two game-changers are just the start. Here’s a look at what Mahindra is gearing up to unveil in 2025.
Mahindra XUV 3X0 EV

Based on the most affordable SUV in the Mahindra portfolio, the 3X0, the new EV will be a sub-4-metre vehicle and slotted below the XUV400. The 3X0 is expected to receive tweaked design updates like a new front grille, revised bumpers, the Mahindra EV logo and aerodynamically designed alloy wheels. The dual-tone cabin is inspired by the XUV400 and gets copper inserts, a floating touch screen, physical buttons for climate control and a wireless phone charger. The 3X0 EV is expected to offer two battery pack options — 34.5 kWh and 39.4 kWh — from the XUV400.Â
Mahindra XEV 7e

Mahindra recently trademarked the nameplate XEV 7e, which confirms that it is one of the many next EV SUVs to make its debut in 2025. The new EV’s leaked images are also doing the rounds on the internet. With an enclosed front grille, the XEV 7e sports a massive triangle-shaped connected LED DRLs with vertical stacked LED headlights below it. The XEV 7e comes with new aggressive-looking skid plates, LED lights on the OVRMs, alloy wheels and smart flush door handles. It could get two battery unit options like the BE 6 and XEV 9e — 59 kWh and 79 kWh.
Mahindra seven-seater EV

The jury is still out on whether the upcoming three-row EV SUV from Mahindra will be a new trim of the XEV 9e or the production version XUV.e8. The latter was recently caught testing and has a similar roofline to the XUV700 making it possible to offer space for three-row seats. The test mule’s design was inspired by Mahindra’s internal combustion engine flagship, the XUV700 with subtle updates for an EV. It refreshed the front fascia including the grille, bumpers, headlight cluster and triangle-shaped LED DRLs. It is also equipped with the massive three-screen display in the cabin or as Mahindra calls it coast-to-coast screen. The seven-seater EV SUV will get the same battery options as the XEV 9e, the 59 kWh and top-of-the-line 79 kWh.
