As per a report by Autocar India, Hero MotoCorp is planning on tapping the mainstream EV segment with the launch of multiple electric vehicles in the next 2–3 years and one of them will be the Hero Splendor, in an all-electric form. The planned products include entry-level electric scooters to high-performance electric bikes.

As per the report, Hero has been working on the electric Splendor project for almost two years now at its technology centre in Jaipur. The Splendor EV is a big project for Hero MotoCorp and the company is targeting sales of nearly two lakh units when it officially arrives in the market in 2027. Apart from the Hero Splendor electric, the company has other significant plans as well in the segment.
Another major product Hero is eyeing is the Hero Lynx electric dirtbike for the global markets, expected to be launched in 2026, and the company is eyeing sales of around 10,000 units annually. Hero recently patented another electric dirtbike for kids, however, not many details are known at the moment.
Alongside the electric Splendor, Hero is also looking at building other electric motorcycles at various price points. The company is also developing motorcycles equivalent to the 150cc–250cc segments, primarily aimed at the youth to offer performance and the style quotient. With multiple product launches, Hero MotoCorp is looking at sales of half a million units from these new EVs alone by 2027–2028.
