Tesla has finally launched the much-awaited Model Y. The electric vehicle SUV is available in two versions — Rear-Wheel Drive and Long Range Rear-Wheel Drive. Tesla has not introduced the Long Range All-Wheel Drive version in India. The Model Y starts at Rs 59.89 lakh, ex-showroom, while the top trim is Rs 67.89 lakh, ex-showroom. Tesla Model Y Rear-Wheel Drive: Price Break Up
The Model Y Rear-Wheel Drive trim’s price is Rs 59.89 lakh, ex-showroom, and the on-road price is Rs 60,99,690, including the GST of Rs 2,92,818, while the fully loaded model is priced at Rs 63,82,490. According to the Tesla official website, the deliveries of this version will start from Q3 2025. It is available in six colours, with only Stealth Grey as standard. The rest of the five colours come at a premium, starting from Pearl White Multi-Coat and Diamond Black at an additional cost of Rs 95,000, Glacier Blue at Rs 1.25 lakh, and Quicksilver and Ultra Red at Rs 1.85 lakh, ex-showroom.
 The Rear-Wheel Drive trim comes standard with 19-inch alloy wheels and offers two cabin colour options. It comes standard with all-black interiors, while the Black and White option costs another Rs 95,000. Tesla is offering the Full Self-Driving Capability autonomous package for an additional price of Rs 6 lakh.
Tesla Model Y Long Range Rear-Wheel Drive: Cost Breakdown
The top version, the Long Range Rear-Wheel Drive, starts at Rs 67.89 lakh ex-showroom, and the on-road price is Rs 71,90,490, including GST of Rs 3,44,246. According to the official Tesla website, deliveries start from Q4 2025. Like the Rear-Wheel Drive version, the Long Range Rear-Wheel Drive trim is also available in six colour options, with only Stealth Grey available as a standard option. The rest five come with a premium. The Long Range Rear-Wheel Drive also gets two interior options, with the all-black cabin as standard, while the Black and White comes with an additional cost. The Full Self-Driving Capability autonomous option is available at an additional cost of Rs 6 lakh.
Tesla Model Y Specifications: Range, Performance
According to Tesla, the entry-level Model Y Rear-Wheel-Drive version offers a driving range of 500 km WLTP. It does 0 – 100 kmph in 5.9 kmph and has a top speed of 201 kmph. The Long Range Rear-Wheel Drive, on the other hand, has a driving range of 622 km and does 0 – 100 kmph in 5.6 seconds. The premium version also has the same top speed of 201 kmph.
