Volkswagen has launched the new Taigun and Virtus Onam Edition in Kerala, a special edition variant celebrating the festival, available for a limited time. In addition to the new trims for the mid-size SUV and sedan, Volkswagen has also opened six new customer touchpoints across the state, including in Kochi, Calicut, and Trivandrum.
Taigun and Virtus Onam Edition: What to expect?
The new Onam Edition of both the Taigun and the Virtus is limited to 100 units and is only available in Kerala. Both models are blacked out glossy paint colour but the Taigun’s front grille gets a matte black finish while the Virtus chrome touches on the front facia including the nose, front bumper and the fog lamp area. It is packed with features like front parking sensors, dual tone horn, puddle lamps and a TSI fender badge.
Taigun and Virtus Onam Edition: Features
Based on the top model, the GT Line, both the Taigun Onam Edition, is equipped with many features like 17-inch Cassino alloy wheels, electric sunroof, front ventilated seats, an 8-inch digital driver’s instrument console, a 10-inch infotainment system and an automatic climate control. Apart from the alloy wheels and the sunroof, the Virtus Onam Edition retains all the features. The sedan is based on the Highline variant.
Taigun and Virtus Onam Edition: Price and Specs
The Taigun and Virtus Onam Edition are available at Rs 14.08 lakh and Rs 13.57 lakh ex-showroom respectively. The two vehicles are powered by a 1-litre TSI turbo petrol powertrain with an output of 113 bhp and 178 Nm of torque. Both the Taigun and the Virtus will be available with a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic torque converter automatic transmissions.
