Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM), the Indian arm of Toyota Motor Corporation, has maintained its sales momentum, achieving new milestones in both fiscal year performance and monthly wholesales.
During FY 2023-24, Toyota clocked a record sales volume of 2,63,512 units in India, marking a double digit growth of 48% compared to the preceding year’s 1,77,683 units (FY 2022-23). Additionally, TKM recorded a 25% YoY growth in the month of March this year by selling 27,180 units compared to 21,783 units sold in March last year.
Reflecting on the growth momentum, Sabari Manohar, Vice President, Sales-Service-Used Car Business, Toyota Kirloskar Motor said, “With a customer-oriented approach, we have always remained ahead in assessing and understanding the diverse needs of our varied customers and market trends, serving them the best with our wider range of quality products and services.”

Domestic sales accounted for 25,119 units while exports totalled 2,061 units during the same month. TKM currently operates two manufacturing facilities in India while a third facility is currently under development. All three plants are based out of Bidadi in Karnataka. The combined annual production capacity of both facilities add up to 3.42 lakh units.

The first plant is used to manufacture models like Innova HyCross, Innova Crysta , Fortuner, and Legender, whereas the second plant produces Camry Hybrid, Urban Cruiser Hyryder, Hilux. Other models like Glanza, and Rumion are rebadged MAruti Suzuki models Baleno, and Ertiga, respectively. Vellfire, and Land Cruiser LC300 are imported as CBU models.
