Carmakers are witnessing a shift towards SUV sales, and last month’s car sales figures are proof of that. However, looking at Hyundai’s sales in October 2023 also shows that SUVs, no matter small, compact, or micro, are garnering interest. Hyundai Creta
The Hyundai Creta remains the best-seller for Hyundai, however, on the list of top 10 cars sold in October 2023, the Creta settles for 10th place. In October 2023, Hyundai sold 13,077 units, as compared to selling 11,880 units in October 2022, registering a YoY growth of 10 percent. Hyundai will soon launch the updated version of the Creta, which will get the new 158bhp petrol engine and ADAS.
The Venue has been Hyundai’s second-best-seller since it was launched in India, and with the recent update, the Venue looks more premium. However, similar to the Creta, the Venue settles for the 13th position in the list of cars sold last month, losing its top 10 position. In October 2023, Hyundai sold 11,581 units as compared to selling 9,585 units, registering a 21 percent YoY growth.
Hyundai Exter
The Hyundai Exter is the carmaker’s most recent offering, which competes directly with the Tata Punch in India. The Hyundai Exter is the carmaker’s third-best-selling product last month and in the list of overall car sales, the Exter settles for 20th place. In October 2023, Hyundai sold 8,097 units.
