Tesla’s Cybertruck is one of the most ambitious models to come out from the American EV maker’s house. However, the fully electric pickup truck has been in development for aeons, even before the world first came to know about it in 2019. It is finally expected to hit the US market soon.
Ahead of its official launch scheduled for November 30, units of Cybertruck have started reaching Tesla showrooms in the US. However, there’s a big catch. Despite its grand scale, the launch event will witness only a handful of units of Cybertruck.
Tesla Cybertruck international launch
According to a Mexican daily Milenio, only 10 units of Cybertruck will be delivered during the launch event at Austin later this month. This development was confirmed by Tesla global director of product design, Javier Verdura, during an interaction with the newspaper last week.

Almost 20 lakh prospective customers who have pre-booked the Cybertruck will have to dial down their expectations. Earlier, Tesla Co-founder and CEO– Elon Musk– had confirmed that deliveries for the Cybertruck will begin in late 2023. However, he admitted that large-scale production of the all-electric pickup truck will only commence from early 2024 which will increase inventory and bring down delivery backlogs.
Tesla Cybertruck specs
Tesla hasn’t officially revealed anything regarding the Cybertruck’s powertrain specs but it is expected to be offered in twin- and tri-motor configurations at time of launch, both offering all-wheel drive functionality. A rear-wheel drive setup is expected to join the lineup at a later stage. As far as range is concerned, the company is expected to offer multiple battery options to go with the variety of motor layouts.
