India’s second most successful automobile company, Mahindra & Mahindra’s electric dynamic duo, the BE 6 and XEV 9e, continue to achieve another milestone. The Indian SUV manufacturer announced that its two born-electric SUVs completed deliveries of 10,000 units. Even though the two EV SUVs were officially launched in November last year, the deliveries began in March 2025.
Mahindra BE 6, XEV 9e: All about numbers
Mahindra began deliveries of the BE 6 and XEV 9e on March 20, 2025, and announced delivering 6,300 units in 40 days. Now the company has upped the tally to 10,000 units in just over two months. Timing is everything, as Mahindra’s announcement couldn’t be more apt as Tata Motors launched the much-awaited Harrier EV.
Mahindra revealed that 3,000 units of the EV SUVs were delivered in April. The company further said that in terms of bookings, 59% was the flagship XEV 9e, while the rest 41% was the BE 6. Furthermore, the majority of the customers chose the top model, Pack Three.
Mahindra BE 6, XEV 9e: Specifications, Price
The BE 6 and XEV 9e are available in two battery options — 59 kWh and 79 kWh. The 59 kWh has an output of 228 bhp, and the top version churns out 281.6 bhp, with both offering 380 Nm of torque. Both the EVs offer multiple driving modes — Range, Everyday, Race, Snow & Custom.
Based on range (MIDC P1 + P2), the XEV 9e 59 kWh and 79 kWh models return a range of 542 km and 656 km. The XEV 9e is priced from Rs 22.65 lakh to Rs 31.25 lakh, ex-showroom.
The BE 6, on the other hand, offers a range (MIDC P1 + P2) of 557 km for the 59 kWh model and 683 km for the 79 kWh. It is available from Rs 19.65 lakh to Rs 27.65 lakh, ex-showroom.
